We are very
well-know about the brain. The brain is one of the major organs of our body. It
gives the command to the whole body and controls it. I don’t want to talk more
about the brain and make your selves as the bore. I directly get into the
topic. The title is blue brain if anybody didn’t have engineering and
technology background they might be the blue brain as a biological matter. But
this really not belong to biological things. This belongs to electronic
technology.
The blue brain is the concept
that belongs to AI technology that is this is the world’s first virtual brain.
This is the swiss brain research initiative that targets to develop a digital
construction of the human brain by the process of reverse engineering. This
concept is initiated by Henry Markram in May 2005 at EPFL.
Ok, how it is work? How to make
it possible? The First making process of this blue brain is to select the right
person who he/she brain is put into simulate and simulate his brain by a supercomputer
and taking all of his thinking, behaviors, knowledge, and memories. And program
these things into the supercomputer. The IBM company develops the algorithm for
this process of supercomputer and finally the virtual brain that is the blue
brain of a respective person is made.
What is the benefit of this blue
brain? By use of this machine can operate the programmed specific things
without any human knowledge. The computer can independently make a decision, do
the right thing based on the situation. This brain can exist even after the
respective person has died. It can work eventually without that respective
person. Then, why this virtual brain technology is named as “blue brain”? The reason is this project is a simulation is
done by a blue gene supercomputer that was built by IBM. This computer is used
to simulate the human brain so it is called as “blue brain”.
